Hell Hath Frozen Over... Could it be true? A Duke Nukem Forever teaser from 3DRealms?
December 19th 2007, 16:15 MSK by OmegaFoRCe Long long ago, in a Crap far, far away, there were Crappers making fun of 3DRealms and their seemingly unending development cycle of Duke Nukem Forever. Could the legends of a real video game actually be true? And behold - the word of legend: http://forums.3drealms.com/vb/showthread.php?t=29639 Last Saturday we had our annual company Christmas party. It was a lot of fun as usual but it featured one special surprise. It turns out that several people had been secretly working late nights and into the wee hours of the morning preparing a special video for those at the party. They created a short teaser for Duke Nukem Forever.
After seeing the teaser we thought it was something we should share with all of you and while it's just a teaser, rest assured more is coming. Tomorrow, Wednesday the 19th, around noon CST, we will release the first teaser trailer from Duke Nukem Forever. To tide you over until then, here is a screen shot taken from the teaser. Thank you for being fans of the game and for your continued patience. I'd like to thank the people on the team that worked so hard to create this teaser and the friends of 3DR that helped create it (Jeremy Soule and Julian Soule, Frank Bry, Jason Evigan and of course, Jon St. John). |

Orange Box is one game for the 360. And orange Box, for normal people Bob, represents the best singleplayer actiongame since… ever, the best multiplayer experience in years, and to top it off contains a fantastic and unique puzzle-solving gem of a game. It's GOTY material (again, for normal people) because it so massively over-delivers on several genres simultaneously. But still, Portal was the best part of PC Orange Box for me too. 96 metascore means it's considered a fantastic game by normal people. Again I stress the normal part because I don't really give two shits that Bob (or yours) GOTY lists fails to include it. It's not my favorite either, but the raised issue was about the QT3 groupthink and I'm stating what most would consider the normal opinion on this product. And again, Orange Box is considered a game. Of course it's a collection, but it's considered a game in the sense that "dude, you should go buy Orange Box". When you buy Orange Box, is there one single serial number for all the games or is there a separate serial for every game? I ask this because I already have retail HL2 and EP1 and if there were separate serials I could sell them to someone else. GET IN THE VAN I GOT CANDY

Steam detects that you already have HL2 and Ep1 installed and wraps them up as giftcards so you can send them off to whomever. So basically yes, you can do exactly what you propose. I agree that I'm a bit biased because I didn't like HL2, and no problem, I won't mind if people will call Orange Box the best box of the year, but calling it GotY is like calling buying The Best Of Eighties compilation and call it the best song ever. I could do a compilation of Crysis, Fallout 2, Photoshop and Sonic 3 and call it the best game ever. I don't celebrate anything, but thanks anyway, and happy whatever. |

UT3 wanted gamespy profile and didn't save your progress without logging in, but they've fixed it in the patch. |

I had to trash my GoW install for the space, but that message is misleading, click okay and by default it'll create an offline profile. Pretty sure that's how it worked for me anyway. I agree, but I like Portal better. So I finally got the "Impossible Defense" achievement (defend Gravel Pit without giving up a capture) the other day, and legitimately in a game with random people. It was one of those perfect rainbow moon pony games, where everything we did worked, every shot hit someone, teammates backed each other up, and everything the other team tried, failed miserably. Great moment. It's hard to overstate my satisfaction.

Playstation 3 owners: What do you use the USB ports for? The new 40 gig pack seems to be the only thing purchasable around here, and the only thing of potential worth* I notice is its gone from 4 to 2 usb inputs. Is there any use for them? I imagine they recharge the controllers, but can you just attach a USB Hub if desperate for more slots? * No I really don't care about backwards compatibility "I'm not even angry / I'm being so sincere right now."
