Hell Hath Frozen Over... Could it be true? A Duke Nukem Forever teaser from 3DRealms?
December 19th 2007, 16:15 GMT by OmegaFoRCe

Long long ago, in a Crap far, far away, there were Crappers making fun of 3DRealms and their seemingly unending development cycle of Duke Nukem Forever. Could the legends of a real video game actually be true?

And behold - the word of legend: http://forums.3drealms.com/vb/showthread.php?t=29639

Last Saturday we had our annual company Christmas party. It was a lot of fun as usual but it featured one special surprise. It turns out that several people had been secretly working late nights and into the wee hours of the morning preparing a special video for those at the party. They created a short teaser for Duke Nukem Forever.
After seeing the teaser we thought it was something we should share with all of you and while it's just a teaser, rest assured more is coming.

Tomorrow, Wednesday the 19th, around noon CST, we will release the first teaser trailer from Duke Nukem Forever. To tide you over until then, here is a screen shot taken from the teaser.

Thank you for being fans of the game and for your continued patience.

I'd like to thank the people on the team that worked so hard to create this teaser and the friends of 3DR that helped create it (Jeremy Soule and Julian Soule, Frank Bry, Jason Evigan and of course, Jon St. John).

All they have to do to gain fame among the current teenage generation is put boobies in the game. Worked for DN3D, where most of the b00b13z were even in teh shareware version.

I think assemblerer is overestimating the maturity of the 25-30 demographic.

Quite probably. I'm not the most mature individual either. I still liked Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back and Clerks II.

I don't know why they haven't just taken their Daikatana medicine and released the fucking thing, "finished" or not.  It's like the world's largest windmill at this point.

I'm actually kinda curious how much of that is fiction and how much of it isn't.

Its a teaser trailer for internal use that they decided to put out on the web.

'it looks awful', uh huh, yeah that pre render of duke working out isnt great, the snippets of action are overly brief and hard to make out.

Could it be a fun game, quite possibly.

With WOW offline for maintenance on tuesday and being unable to sleep, I fired up TF2 for the first time.

After installing a 8800GT and 2 quiet 120mm fans (the pc is now nearly silent)

Sweet merciful jesus thats a lot of fun, played medic 90% of the time (yeah on 2Forts), had a total blast, its like Valve concentrated awesome into neutrino sized doses then injected it directly into my frontal lobe.

and like a little crack monkey I was right back at wow when it came back up, but was up early the next morning to get some TF2 in

I didn't think the teaser was so bad.  If it's something that some of the crew put together for fun, then it's not so bad.

If this was a polished fit for promotion trailer, then that would be another story.

Funk.
